Judge Comments:
1) I love the first panel, where Kangaroo looks like a little love ninja. The second panel the magic isn’t quite clear, but I think the idea of light dragons playing Cupid is pretty adorable! I also love the lining technique you used on the background. On the boulders especially, the contrast really pops!
2) I love the costume and sneaky pose, but it would’ve been nice to see the source of this admiration in the first image. Nice variation in textures, I’m especially fond of those loopy tree trunks. Maybe in the future you could work a bit more complexity and detail into the background.

Judge Comments:
1) I’m obsessed with the lighting in the first panel; the contrast between the blue and the orange is lovely. I also think the posing really works with the theme in both panels, and the narrative carries across them beautifully. The second one loses a bit of definition in the background especially, but I love the idea of it.
2) Some old fashioned snooping! I love the composition and use of colour in these, the bright yellow in the first picture pops beautifully against the soft blue and the washed out 2nd picture reminds me of those classic black and white detective films. I’m a little confused where the magic use is coming in however, perhaps that could be made a little clearer in the future.
