Succeed or die, that is the phrase that has defined Viscera from her earliest memory, the vivid recollection of what happened when she did fail as a youngster has resulted in an ambitious drive to succeed at everything she does, not matter how difficult or how much the odds are stacked against her, she will succeed.
She honestly cares little for anyone other than her brother, a person could be dying and she’ll ignore it, and should she help it would only be for her own gain. While she potentially posseses the ability to care for others, and form emotional attachments with people other than Bris, few stick around to attempt it, the doe’s shattered psyche enough to scare many off within a few moments.
There is only one person whom Viscera truly trusts anymore, and that is Debris. The two grew up together, and went through hell to escape their childhood, she loves him more than just about anything, and the two almost seem to share a mind when together. With Bris, shes gentle, caring and supportive; and has never once forgotten that he alone was there for her when she was small and weak. She’ll do anything for him.
The habits of youth have never faded, and to this day Viscera retains the ability to think and respond quickly and with deadly efficiency; whether it be be a dagger thrown, a pocked to pick… or avoiding something coming her way, she always reacts; and as years have passed, she’s become more swift and dextrous.
Not only is Vis quickwitted and able to respond to things on the go, but she’s clever, capable of planning things far in advance, and easily changing them depending on circumstances; even if they don’t go the way she planned initially, she’ll adapt, all the better to get what she wants out of it. Planning also helps keep her and Bris out of trouble, most of the time.
As a child, arguing back was the last thing on her mind; in fact, other than with Debris, she was mute. Nowadays she more than makes up for it, she despises taking orders, and activily argues (occaionaly devolving to fighting) to get her own way; most eventually give in after losing a limb or two. Despite this, she knows that winning the argument is not everything, sometimes it is far better for her to lose….. because eventually… she will win/succeed.
She was not born vain, infact, her own appearence was not something she cared about during her early childhood, she infact hid beneath the grime so that the doe she called mother would not find her; but as she grew, free from the tyrany of her mother, so did her vanity, a little bit of grooming, hair tied up nicely. Oh, she doesn’t mind been dirty, or her hair mussed if she’s been doing something, but she’ll always take the time to clean up now… she still doesnt think she’s pretty, but at least she feels good in herself.
From that first shard of glass lying in the murky light; Viscera acquisitive nature became apparent; things others saw as worthless, she adored; more and more she collected, at first hindered by the shadow of her dame; but soon it florished. the pack rat in her blooming until both her and Bris had stashes of things scattered all around; and like her twin she never throws anything away. Oh she’ll sell certain stuff, things others see as valuble, but small pieces of broken glass and marbles hold a special place.. though she often gives them to Bris, the buck more skilled with things like that. Gold and silver hold a special allure for her, because, not only are they pretty but also verstile, gold can be melted down and resold; silver meanwhile is perfect for weaponscraft, mirrors and its lovely to look at. Her acquisitive nature also extends to weapons… and a few other things.
Whether she has always been unstable, or it stemmed from the moment the doe that birthed her tore out her twins eye, Viscera’s psyche shattered, at her best she’s unstable, her mood swings highly erratic and potentially deadly to those who’ve never dealt with the doe before. At her worst, shes psychotic, her personality shifts completely, and she has the potential to harm or kill anyone for no reason, only Bris is safe, her anchor amidst the chaotic mess of her psyche.
